ASAC, arts classes, lacrosse team

In a community that has no YMCA or Boys & Girls Club, Ambridge Youth Ignite (AYI) began in 2004 as the Ambridge Sports Camp.  This free 6-week, summer sports camp served elementary and middle school youth.  In 2007, the Ambridge Arts Camp was created to give youth a full-day camp experience.  Through these programs AYI has been able to serve more than a hundred youth each summer.  

In order to expand and continue to serve the youth during the school year, AYI has    created three arts classes: drama, hand  drumming and guitar.  In addition to the arts classes, AYI desires to start a youth sports team in a sport that does not exist in the area.  Sponsoring these extracurricular activities enables AYI to cultivate deeper relationships with the youth of Ambridge year-round.
